Club Questions and Answers

Q) What is the Discoverers Club?
A) A club held in Kings Lynn for children affected by Dyspraxia, their siblings and parents.

Q) When?
A) Meetings take place on Saturdays between 10am and 2 pm and continue throughout School holiday.

Q) What do you do at the club?
A) We have floor activities and drama. A tuck shop, that the children are encouraged to run themselves, arts and crafts, Computer games and lots more. All the activities are designed to develop muscle tone, balance, co-ordination and fine eye/hand co-ordination, social skills and personal awareness, but in a fun, friendly, non-stigmatised environment. We also have outings and hold events.

Q) Who can join in?
A) Any child between the ages of 4 to 16, but predominantly 5 to 13, who has a diagnosis of Dyspraxia or is under examination with a possible diagnosis of Dyspraxia, also their siblings (within the same age ranges) and parents.

A) We have an office in Kings Lynn jointly run by the Dyspraxia Foundation Co-Ordinator for West Norfolk and the Co-Ordinator for Cambridgeshire. You can speak to Carol Hawkins or Karen Garside Club Activities Co-Ordinator or Carol McGinn via the office.
