About the Club
In summer 2002, Dr I. Waterson approached Carol Mcginn with the idea of lobbying the Children’s Fund for funds to help children with Dyspraxia in the West Norfolk area.
During a seven-month period, the two Carol’s held meetings with Occupational Therapists, Social Services, Samaritans and Speech Therapists. Together with the planning Officers and Development
Managers from West Norfolk
Children’s Fund. Carol
(M) and Carol (H) developed an idea of a club
that would support youngsters with Dyspraxia
in their area, who were already struggling
to cope with their education and social development.
During the discussions it emerged that both Carol’s
were already aware of over 125 children, whose
parents had contacted them for help in the Norfolk
and Cambridgeshire area.
