About the Club

In summer 2002, Dr I. Waterson approached Carol Mcginn with the idea of lobbying the Children’s Fund for funds to help children with Dyspraxia in the West Norfolk area.

During a seven-month period, the two Carol’s held meetings with Occupational Therapists, Social Services, Samaritans and Speech Therapists. Together with the planning Officers and Development

Managers from West Norfolk Children’s Fund. Carol (M) and Carol (H) developed an idea of a club that would support youngsters with Dyspraxia in their area,who were already struggling to cope with their education and social development. During the discussions it emerged that both Carol’s were already aware of over 125 children, whose parents had contacted them for help in the Norfolk and Cambridgeshire area.
