In the Dyscoverers club where I am Project Leader, it is estimated that 8 out of 10 of the children with Dyspraxia have been the victims of bullying. So:
- Tell your Mum or Dad or teacher, School Nurse, Aunt etc. Anyone you can trust. Ask for help and write down what is going on and who is bullying you
- On the bus, sit near the driver or another adult
- If you see others being bullied, tell someone, they need help
- Try not to make eye contact with the bully and say......"Yeah...what ever"...when they taunt you
- If you are receiving text messages that are unpleasant, tell your parents, this is a criminal offence
- Think how others see you, Walk tall and don't let them think they scare you even though they really do. It may just stop them from making a smart comment
And above all, love yourself, you are special and always remember, you are so much Better than they are!
